"Mid-19th Century Gold Enamel Chatelaine With Frères Junod' Watch. Geneva. Circa 1850 "
Important gold chain and brooch with an enamel portrait of a young woman in profile in a black enamel frame. The brooch set with pearls is linked by a long gold chain to a hook decorated with another portrait of a young woman. A gold and enamel watch hangs from the hook and a seal and key are connected to the hook by a gold chain. The gold watch has a putti decoration offering a garland set with rose-cut diamonds.
Hallmarked 1864-1888
Watch signed Junod frères in Geneva. Cylinder watch with 8 jewels.
Period: Middle of the 19th century. Circa 1850.
