Cavalry officer's pistol model 1833 / Second type
19th century
France
Steel, wood, brass, damascus
Total length: 36 cm - Barrel length: 19 cm - Cal: 16 mm

Model second type.
Octagonal damascus barrel with forty-eight stripes, marked with a "G", a "C", "1849" and "MN".
Iron ramrod with brass ring head, stamped "H", "L", "B".
Tail of breech ending in point.
Lock signed Manufacture Nouvelle de Châtellerault and "L", monogrammed and stamped with an "L" topped by a crown on the reverse.
Strongly sloping stock, finely checkered grip.
The cap is made of case hardened iron, fixed by two screws with ring.

Very good mechanical performance.
