This is the representation of a Pompeii fresco found thanks to archaeological excavations carried out in the eighteenth century and popularized by travelers of the Grand Tour. This lithograph is part of a larger series of representations of ancient Pompeii frescoes edited by Giacomo Lenghi. Several of these lithographs executed between 1840 and 1870, from a large collector, were deposited at the Library of Congress in Washington. Dimension: 23.5 cm x 17.5 cm to view 24.5 cm x 32.5 cm with frame Condition: Very good condition, some very slight marks of age. It is very nicely framed in an original pitchpin frame that has been slightly cleaned. Very neat set!
