Hunting Buffet Lyonnais, Eighteenth Century.

This beautiful furniture in solid walnut is characteristic of the Lyon region, these kinds of buffets are generally designed identically, they open the front with two generously molded doors and decorated with regency or Louis XV style sculptures, their feet are sometimes straight or end with a large, simply curved hind leg, sometimes, as is the case here, they are carved with a shell, the sides decorated with two panels with flat bands are separated by a vertical cross. In good state of conservation the furniture was only entitled to some small restorations of use. The plateau is a blue turquin reported, whose facade is cut in the shape of a crossbow.
