"Gilbert Poillerat Gold Iron Console Art Deco"
Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988): important console model "water leaves and cordelières" Art Deco period (listed in double pages 122-123 of the book "Gilbert Poillerat, master metalworker" by François Baudot preface by Karl Lagerfeld, edition Charles Moreau, Paris, 1992). Elegant structure in thick wrought iron with golden patina (entirely with gold leaf) decorated with a large central motif interlaced with diamonds supporting stylized cords ending with trimmings connected to two large foliated scrolls supporting a large plateau marble inserted into a frame underlined with a cordelière pattern. Very good condition, beautiful gilding. Dimensions: 1 m 80 length X 88 cm high X 42 cm deep. Note a record for an identical model sold for € 68,000 auction at Me Tajan on September 20, 2006.
