Extraordinary pair of capitals from the official cabin of a warship of the early 1800s - perhaps French. the capitals represent two portraits of an officer with a Napoleonic hat. note the braided hairstyle. the surface was golden but over time it became dark. very good condition. two objects representative of a glorious period of the navy at the beginning of the 800.
