"Majolica - Boy Playing Aulos By Léon Sazérat, Limoges (circa 1870)"
The Léon Sazérat Company was pottery factory in Limoges established in 1852. The overall effect is surprisingly detailed and European Figure Statues with high quality sculpture has been extremely hard to find. Boy playing Aulos by Léon Sazérat, measurement 8 x 14 inches height At the 1855 Universal Exhibition in Paris, he was praised for several pieces bringing lightness and fancy. Léon Sazérat (1831-1891) was overwhelmingly triumphant at the 1878 Universal Exhibition in Paris, where his pieces were described as the noblest pieces ever produced, and where further variations of the Minton ‘’Victor Simyan Vase’’ was exhibited. Everything is in excellent condition (no restoration)
