BURGUNDY FIREPLACE STONE BEIGE ROSEE REGION CORTON. circa 1730 Beautiful model with foliated asymmetrical decoration adorned at its center with an exploded grenade. Legs with pedestals, well molded cartridges, carved with scallops. Acanthus leaves on the corners and an eventful cut-out corbin beak molding clearly visible on the last photo taken before dismantling. Mixed decor regency louis 15, we are in transition, the asymmetric grenade still wisely carved announces the arrival of the rockery style. Provenance: Yonne castle dismantled after the war and then farmhouse of the same owner of the Morvan to this day. Very good condition, a small glue glued reported on the molding of a jamb.
