Rare pair of Monkey sculpture pulley eating a fruit from a Lotus yarn loom on a metal base.
The Intha (“sons of the lake”) community remains the sole bearer of the meticulous tradition of weaving lotus silk.
pulley height 17 cm, thickness 7 cm, width 4 cm
Old break, missing an arm on a pulley due to the use of Folk Art pulleys, very beautiful patina  wood
mid-nineteenth century, Inle Lake, Taunggyin, Burma.
