Pair Of Candlesticks Late 18th Century, Fleurs De Lys, Silver Bronze flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Candlesticks Late 18th Century, Fleurs De Lys, Silver Bronze"
Elegant fine pair of candlesticks from the end of the 18th century, each bearing a well-marked engraving of a fleur-de-lis on the edge of each tray. Very well silvered bronze candlesticks.
Their appearance is made of shapes and patterns expressing the simplicity of this very end of the 18th century still under one of the Louis XVI decorative styles which however announces the Directory: binets in antique pots with sides, entourages with repeated carvings, feet tapered on claws.
Only the fleur-de-lys on each brand still marks this boundary between the two eras.

Dimensions: Height 24 cm
Diameter at the base 10.5 cm

Note: addition of a thin small metal plate on one of the two, below at the exit of the tightening screw, to strengthen its fixation.
