"Happiness Of The Day Louis XVI XVIII - Jewelry Box"
Bonheur du jour from the Louis XVI period in mahogany from Cuba, 18th century. Opening by two small doors on the upper part, dressed in mirrors (with traces of mercury) and brass nets two small drawers below. Mahogany top, surrounded by a brass gallery, concealing a jewelry box below. Exceptional! The lower part has a writing desk covered with green leather in good condition, then a drawer below. Four sheath feet dressed in brass rods, ending in bronze clogs. The interiors of this piece of furniture are dressed in red velvet. This piece of furniture is very rare due to its small size (52.5cm wide), and its jewelry box. Furniture in good condition, showing marks of time, some marquetry fittings, and slight gaps.
