""Djinn" Cheval à la barrière de P.J MENE "
Bronze proof with golden light brown patina representing the horse at the fence. Signed on terrace PJ.MENE, model dates 1846. Foundry late 19th century. PJ MENE (1810-1879), the most famous animal sculptor after BARYE. He exhibited at the Paris Salons from 1838 to 1878, and was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1861.
