Magnificent and rare piece with significant ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as the embedded ingot molds typical of Mathieu Befort, large animated bronzes framing the marquetry half-height doors, angles with classic sticks also from this cabinetmaker, mask of Mercury surrounded by cherubs in the upper part, medallion with the effigy of Louis XIV, rosettes, masks with the effigy of the Nemean lion on the framed sides of spandrels, offcuts, brass marquetry with foliage motifs, scrolls, interlacing and characters.
