"French Royalist Copper Kettle, Dovetailed, Hommage To The New King"
We can no longer imagine the fervor of part of the French population to celebrate the promises of peace, circa 1818 brought by the Bourbon Kings Restoration, after 20 years of almost continuous wars. We see Lys flowers, which disappeared during the Empire, bloom on the smallest objects. Here, on this beautiful copper hand built and mounted with dovetails, the Royal flower appears 3 times! at the base of beak, on one side and on the other, in strong relief or in coat of arms..Beautiful copper, richly endowed!
