Beautiful luminous work by the painter Alfred Jean Chagniot which represents a harvest scene in Etrolles where the artist liked to paint scenes of rural life. The artist represented in the foreground the rest of the reapers while the second plan shows us reapers at work.

A pupil of Pierre Montezin and Vuillard, Alfred-Jean Chagniot became a member of the Salon des Artistes français in 1938 and received numerous prizes and medals.
In 1993, a retrospective of his work took place at the Château de Croisy.

Nb: An old restoration is to be reported in the sky.

Dimensions: 46 x 55 cm without frame and 63.5 x 72.5 cm with its original wooden frame.
