"Nineteenth Century School, Pair Of Navy H 65 Cm / L 53 Cm"
This pair of seascapes is the work of a school from the North of the 19th century.
Forming a pendant, they complement and respond to each other with the main sailboat leaving to the left for one and to the right for the other like a departure and a return from fishing.
The rough seas and the movement of sailboats among the waves bring the scene to life. Painted in the same way, we find in the center the main boat with the fishermen followed by a flight of seagulls, a sailboat on the right in the background and on the left, in the distance, other boats.
The canvases are shared between a rough sea with dark reflections and a cloudy sky.
These tables are signed for one on the left and for the other on the right but illegible signature.
They have a frame in the state.
Good condition with slight lacks and posterior restoration. Relining.
Dimensions without frame: H 65 cm / W 53 cm
Dimensions with frame: H 69 cm / W 79 cm
