Object description :

"Chest Of Drawers Or Child In Walnut Early XX Eme Century"
A small chest of drawers that is really out of the ordinary. be careful, this is not a master's chest of drawers but really a children's or doll's chest.
it is in walnut and is built like a louis XV chest of drawers from the 18th century, the drawers are mounted in dovetails and the dimensions are respected.
the drawer bottoms and the back are in white wood stained in walnut color.
it opens with 4 drawers on the front with 4 locks operating with the same key.
the bronzes are original with drop handles embellished with butterfly wing keyholes.
it rests hard on 4 feet, animated skates in the manner of a plinth on the three nicely worked sides.
it is doubly curved on the front, the sides are straight. The top is made of a single walnut plank with a corbin beak profile.
drawers and locks work perfectly.
no trace of xylophagous insects but a preventive treatment with xylophene was carried out in the workshop.
beautiful waxed patina in the original blond walnut color. a lovely little chest of drawers that can possibly accommodate your housewives, your silverware but in itself it forms a small decorative and charming occasional piece of furniture.
