Watercolor depicting a soldier, probably a guard holding his halberd at the time of the Renaissance. This watercolor was carried out by Jean Achille Blairsy, French painter and watercolorist, born in Toulouse and died in 1878 in the same city. He will realize many historical scenes featuring soldiers and characters in period dress. One of the most famous paintings being a scene dealing with the assassination of the Duke of Guisse: "the King's cabinet before the assassination of the Duke of Guisse".
