Object description :

"Camphor Trunk Trunk Green Leather Golden Brass XIXth Century"
Small travel trunk in camphor wood * covered with green leather, nails, handles and reinforcements in gilded brass, XIXth century. This trunk is in good condition. The lock is signed "Patent". We don't have his key. A note: some accidents and wear of the leather over time, cracks in the bottom of the trunk, trace of an old label stuck on one side, wear of time, take a good look at the photos. * The camphor tree or camphor tree is a tree of the Lauraceae family, from which camphor is extracted by distillation of its wood. The wood of the Camphor tree, whose peculiar smell resists for several years, benefits from fungicidal properties which repel moths. For this reason, it has long been used for the manufacture of trunks to transport furs and clothing. PLEASE NOTE: FOR A DELIVERY QUOTE, CONTACT US WITH CITY AND COUNTRY OF DESTINATION.
