Rare thick copper box with heavy riveted iron bands surrounding it on all sides. 17th century. Origin unknown. Europe or Japan or other ..? the copper logo, riveted on the cover, has not been identified. Box to protect precious objects because it is very thick, very solid and moreover reinforced with thick iron on all the interior (sides, bottom and under the cover) a padlocked bar (missing) to close it must have made it very difficult to open this box, of manufacture very close to a safe. Beautiful old patina on the copper and ironwork; weight: 1.120 kg. length: 15 cms width: 10cms height: 7.5 cms.
