Majestic Pompeian oil painting on canvas by Cesare dell'Acqua representing "Hospitality in a villa in Pompeii" with figures. The measures of the canvas are 292x195 cm; There is also a large golden frame whose measures are 350x260 cm. The work is signed and dated "Cesare dell'Acqua 1875" on the basis of the column shown on the right. Published on pages 35 and 78 of the book "The painter Cesare dell'Acqua 1821 - 1905 between Trieste and Brussels" by Franco Firmiani and Flavio Tossi. "Given the large dimensions of the canvas, it cannot be ruled out that this painting is one of the twelve already present in the Pompeian room of the Villa Errera in Brussels, the decoration of which probably lasted until 1875. ..
