"Pair Of Chande Bronze Candelabra Etruscan Model After Barye And Barbedienne Brame XIXth"
Pair of candelabra with three sconces surmounted by parakeets in patinated and gilded chiseled bronze, model called "Etruscan". Base with tripod base with alternating claws of leaves, fluted barrels decorated with a snake. Missing the bobeches and the chains which connected the arms to the mouth of the snakes, a wing of a parakeet is a little twisted, legs slightly mobile. Second half of the 19th century. H: 57.5cm - L: 19cm. Bibliography: Catalog raisonné de Barye by Michel Poletti and Alain Richarme Gallimard editions model to be compared to that reproduced by illustration 385 page 374.
