Paulette Bardy (1914-1966) - Oil On Panel - Intimate Scene On The Beach At Cabourg
Oil on panel depicting a scene of amorous intimacy on the beach at Cabourg in Normandy by modernist artist Paulette Bardy (1814-1966)
Signature lower right
Paulette Bardy is known for her landscapes, her scenes of Parisian booksellers or her scenes of Normandy beaches, painted in the manner of Eugène Boudin (scenes of high society in the early 20th century). Alongside this production, Paulette Bardy developed a much more confidential, modern and subversive output: erotic pastiches and scenes of amorous intimacy on these same beaches.
