Buffet / Cabinet In Solid Oak, Late 17th / 18th Century
Buffet deux corps / regional cabinet in solid oak, French work from the late 17th or early 18th century.
The front opens with four molded leaves decorated with diamond-tipped panels and two drawers in the belt. The jambs are richly carved with stylized plant motifs, while the wrought-iron escutcheons lend authenticity and character to the ensemble.
The overhanging cornice is highlighted by an elegant herringbone inlaid frieze, a decorative detail typical of early regional furniture. The doors rest on beautiful antique forged plugs and the cabinet ends in ball feet.
The interior offers ample storage volume. The fully parqueted antique back is testimony to traditional quality craftsmanship.
Very beautiful warm patina of walnut and harmonious proportions for this piece of furniture with character that can fit into both classic and contemporary interiors.
