"19th Century Mirror "
A superb 19th-century oval mirror, measuring 115 cm high by 72 cm wide. This piece is distinguished by its carved and gilded wooden frame, typical of decorative works from the Second Empire or the late Louis-Philippe period. The frame features rich and finely crafted ornamentation: a pediment surmounted by a prominent design of flowers, leaves, and a ribboned bow, a very common symbol in 19th-century creations. A beaded border and successive moldings elegantly emphasize the oval shape. The base is adorned with large, sculpted plant motifs in relief, lending balance and majesty to the whole. The gilding, with its warm, slightly coppery patina, testifies to the authentic charm of an antique object without obscuring the finesse of the carved details. This mirror is a striking decorative piece, ideal for a classic, romantic, or eclectic interior, and can serve as a focal point in a living room, entryway, or bedroom. Please note a few missing parts; see photos for details.
