Magnificent Cicim originating from Konya in Central Anatolia. Cicim, pronounced "jidjim," are woven and entirely embroidered pieces. Most antique pieces like this one covered the walls of nomadic tents. Wool on wool. Vegetable dyes. The embroidery work is remarkable in its fineness and precision. Another distinctive feature related to its age is that the piece is composed of two panels joined and sewn together. Magnificent work, superb for wall hanging. Circa 1930. Perfect condition.
