"Louis XV Period, Three Fragments Of Silk Embroidered With Gold, 18th Century."
Three very rare silk fragments made during the reign of Louis XV. They were embroidered with gold thread with great skill. The embroideries depict garlands of open and budded flowers on the smaller fragments and a spectacular bouquet on the larger piece. The bouquet is finished with a ribbon bow and tassels. The entire piece is embroidered on light blue silk. It should be noted that the gold embroidery is very well preserved; it is not oxidized and is much more brilliant in reality than it appears in the photographs. 18th century.
