A large Japanese Imari vase of globular form with a long neck, decorated with flower vases flanked by the figures of the dragon and the phoenix (ryū and hō-ō).
The entire surface is covered with floral motifs and stylized foliage in tones of red, blue, and gold. The long neck features a dense floral pattern in continuity with the decoration on the body.
Period: Meiji, late 19th century
Dimensions: 62.5 × 31 cm
Condition: Excellent. Minor wear to the enamel and gold consistent with age.
