"Gilt Bronze Clock "fox, Clockmaker To His Highness The Duke Of Bourbon" Louis XVI Period"
This precious French clock is signed by the clockmaker Renard. Renard was the clockmaker to His Grace Duke Louis-Joseph de Bourbon. It rests on elegant feet beneath delicate rosettes. The richly decorated case is adorned with curved elements, floral garlands, and finely chiseled leaves and berries. Above, an urn is surmounted by a ribbon and garlands of berries.
