"Louis XV Style Regional Wardrobe In Solid Oak – Southwest France – Late 18th Century"
Superb regional wardrobe in solid oak, crafted in the Southwest (Landes/Béarn), dating from the late 18th century – circa 1770/1820. It displays all the attributes of the regional Louis XV style: snail feet, shaped panels, a carved lower rail, a large rounded cornice (145 cm), and a decoration of fine vertical grooves, typical of the region. High-quality traditional construction: fully pegged joints, thick oak planks inside and out, large period brass hinges, panels mounted flat, a warm and even patina, a sound and stable piece of furniture.
