A very beautiful and large Renaissance table, carved from walnut, with a very simple design, known as a Lorraine Cross. It rests on a base with six columns connected at the bottom by a molded stretcher in the shape of a Lorraine Cross. The apron features turned coils at each corner. This table is a typical example of furniture from Lyon or the Loire Valley, dating from 1570-1580. In good condition, with normal wear and tear on the stretcher and tabletop.
