"Domed Straw Marquetry Box - 17th Century"
Very pretty domed straw marquetry box with embroidered decoration of a bird in the center holding an envelope in its beak, surrounded by scrollwork, flowers, and leaves. The interior features a polychrome grid.
17th century.
Height: 9 cm - Width: 22 cm - Depth: 16 cm.
Some minor damage, missing parts, and pitting on the inside of the lid. (See photos.)
