Pair of bronze statues "Mitron and young girl" early 19th century. The richly chiseled patinated bronze figures represent a boy baker called out by a young girl. Both are dressed in wonderfully executed period outfits and hold baskets. One wears a baker's headdress while the other wears a charming bonnet. Each statue is raised by a circular base in red griotte marble. Both demonstrate exquisite attention to detail and beautiful facial expressions. Very beautiful bronze work in the taste of the 18th century but made at the beginning of the 19th century.
