This is a work of the Pailard dynasty in Besançon.
Very simple solid gold case with guilloché on the cover, Rhine stone as a push button to open and still Rhine stones as ornament on the hands.
The enameled dial was formerly restored to level III.
The verge or cock escapement movement is signed Paliard Besançon.
It works perfectly, at the first turn of the key, it started again as originally with a very beautiful sound and regularity.
The back is hallmarked with goldsmith's hallmarks, and the very rare crowned C, which attests that this watch was produced between 1745 and 1749.
The rear hinge was re-hallmarked in the 19th century with the owl hallmark.
18 carat solid gold.
