"Solid Oak Wardrobe By Guillerme Et Chambron And Ceramic By Danikowski 1950s"
Solid oak wardrobe by Guillerme and Chambron and ceramics by Danikowski, 1950s. Robert Guillerme (1913–1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914–2001) were two iconic French designers from the 1950s to the 1970s. Graduates of the École Boulle and the École des Arts Appliqués in Reims, respectively, they founded Votre Maison in Lille in 1949, in collaboration with cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq. Their furniture, primarily in waxed oak, is distinguished by sculpted lines, ceramic details, and colorful textiles, combining functionality with a warm aesthetic. The Grand Repos armchair is one of their most iconic creations. Their humanist approach to design, centered on comfort and everyday life, has left a lasting mark on the history of French furniture.
