Pair of engraved and watercolored portraits in oval giltwood frames. Late 18th century. These portraits represent respectively Madame Saint Huberty 1756-1812 (Anne Cécile Clavel, Countess of Antraigues) and Mademoiselle Maillard 1766-1818 (Marie Thérèse Davoux), famous singers at the Royal Academy of Music (opera). The first was famous for her role as Dido in Piccinni's opera, the second for these roles in Gluck's operas. Good condition for these elegant testimonies of the Louis XVI era.
