Although this work is unsigned, it comes from a property in Beaujeu (in the Beaujolais region), owned by a couple who were close friends of the great Lyon sculptor, and who were also passionate collectors of his works. This is a beautiful work by Salendre dating from the beginning of his career in the 1920s.
