Bottle With The Manna Of St. Nicholas Late 1700s made of glass with cold decorations in the round among which the main one is of the saint framed by garlands of leaves. In the sides a cross and a kind of insignia again surrounded by foliage, In the back a boat. In the lower left corner a break with related spinning. On the bottom and upper inner part There are limestone incrustations. On the bottom the label A.G.G. Subert - S. Pietro All'Orto 26 - Spiga 22 - Milan.
St. Nicholas was buried near his hometown Myra and became a pilgrimage destination following the gushing of manna from the saint's tomb. This miracle motivated sailors to smuggle the saint's remains to Bari around the year 1000. Since then, St. Nicholas' manna has been collected and spread in these bottles of various shapes and decorations.
