Very nice kilim from Korkuteli, Antalya region in Anatolia. Woven wool on wool in the traditional way. The main feature of this piece is the succession of horizontal bands of undyed dromedary wool and others with embroidered patterns. This use of dromedary wool creates effects called abrash, in other words variations of tones around beige. Typical of nomadic productions, all in simplicity and softness.
