Pierre Duval-lecamus (1790-1854) Hst "an Awakening" 65x54cm

Beautiful oil on canvas from the first half of the 19th century attributed to Pierre Duval-Lecamus known as Camus Le Père: "An Awakening". I
It shows two women in love in a bed, in nightgowns, one teasing the second who is partially naked, with a straw to wake her up. Beautiful work, very nicely painted, the flesh tone work is superb, the clothes and the crumpled sheets are very well executed. In the foreground, we see an overturned stool with lingerie underwear, a rug with fringes, a pair of shoes, all these items are very realistic.
In a damaged modern frame, to be changed. Dimensions: 65x54cm without frame, 85x75cm with. Provenance: Christie's sale of 08/07/2011, this painting had then made 14'000 pounds at the hammer, so 19'531€ charges included.
