"Folk Art: 19th Century Wooden Plane With Brown Patina"
Imposing and heavy plane in monoxyl wood with a brown patina. Used for planing, the wood is completely smooth underneath, a fine proof of the repeated use of this tool. Two gripping handles: the first, also monoxyl, is pointed at the body; the second is removable. The crack present all along seems to predate the manufacture of this plane. Missing iron. France, early 19th century, or even before. Very beautiful object of folk art, beautiful patina, rare due to its size. Weight: 11kg (!)
Old traces of xylophages, otherwise in very good condition.
