Large finely chiseled gilt bronze clock representing on one side a standing soldier holding a shield with the inscription "love to the most beautiful", on the other side a flaming Athenian decorated with delicately chiseled cherub heads. The gilt bronze dial is surrounded by a white enamel plate indicating the hours and minutes in Roman numerals signed "Armingaud jeune à Paris", it is accompanied by a small dial indicating the seconds. It ends with an octagonal base with cut sides decorated with trophies and military attributes. Original wire movement striking the hours and half hours working with its key. Original double patina mercury gilding in very good condition.
