19th century in the taste of the 18th century France A panel in needlepoint and petit point wool tapestry on canvas initially forming a Louis XV sofa backsplash. To be reused for a historical decoration for cushions or seats. Castle scene with bucolic decor loaded with a fountain, musicians and loving couples in 18th century costumes. The finesse of the petit point work is remarkable. Note a patina and slight discoloration, the borders have dirt and cannot be preserved. Stable condition and resistant enough for any new future in decoration. Dimensions: 176 cm x 51 cm. 62 cm at the highest point
