"Silk Headbands, Cochinchina, Late 19th Century "

Set of 3 embroidered silk headbands from the end of the 19th century. Decorated with Fô dogs, 4-clawed dragons, birds of paradise, Phoenix and plant motifs. The set is decorated with hundreds of small set mirrors. The animals' eyes are set with green glass cabochons. All these headbands are decorated with polychrome silk fringes with geometric decoration. Circa 1900. Comes from a Bordeaux estate. Good condition. Missing parts and small tears.
