The view is captivating, with vivid colors that transport us to a beautiful, calm, serene, and lively 19th-century Geneva. In the foreground, one can see a washerwomen’s boat, strollers, boats on the Rhône, and in the background, the Pont des Bergues, ships, and distant mountains, including Mont Blanc, entirely covered in snow.
Locations represented: Geneva city, Quai Bezanson-Hugues, Quai des Bergues, Pont des Bergues, the Rhône River, and Mont Blanc.
The engraving is mounted on cardboard and framed (under glass). The usual references and title inscribed below the engraving are missing.
In excellent condition, with vibrant colors. Several photos were taken through a jeweler's loupe.
