HELMET OF A FIREFIGHTER OF THE CITY OF COUDRES, Mle 1855 modified 1872. III Republic.
- Helmet entirely in brass. Crest with ailerons stamped with 11 gadroons. Plate struck in relief with a shield stamped with a flaming pyre and surmounted by a city crown, all framed by an oak branch and a laurel branch with crossed axes and ribbon bearing the inscription "Srs POMPIERS DE COUDRES". Visor and neck cover circled with a brass rush folded astride the outer edge. Chinstraps composed of a chin strap in soft leather covered with black leather covered with a series of decreasing scales cut alternately into two and three festoons, with round rosettes stamped with circular moldings. Plume holder in tubular shape with square section decreasing towards the bottom. Good general condition, with traces of use, some knocks, dents on the bomb and on the crest. Interior missing. France. Third Republic.
