French school of the 17th century presumed portrait of Marie-Anne de Bourbon, known as "Mademoiselle de Blois", princess of Conti represented as an allegory of summer.
Original oil on canvas 78 x 65 cm.
Louis XIV period frame gilded with gold leaf 85 x 74 cm.

Depicted half-length in front of an undefined landscape, the charming model is dressed in an elegant pink dress with iridescent reflections, encircled by a corset in the antique style, she delicately holds a billhook to harvest the ears of wheat that she also wears in her hair mixed with cornflower flowers.

Marie Anne de Bourbon, known as "Mademoiselle de Blois", Princess of Conti in 1680, was a legitimized daughter of the King of France Louis XIV and Louise de La Vallière, born in Vincennes on October 2, 1666 and died in Paris on May 3, 1739. After the death of her husband, she was Dowager Princess of Conti.
