Louis XVI Style Flat Desk

Louis XVI style flat desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer, opening on the front with four drawers, one of which is double with a compartment and removable pen holder. The top is covered with beautiful original leather with a beautiful patina. The edge of the top is surrounded by a brass molding, it is decorated with two brass threads. The drawers, sides and back of the desk are decorated with brass rods. The four drawers have a lock with a key in working order, each drawer has its key. The front and rear uprights are fluted with brass rushes. The four legs are fluted, the flutes are decorated with brass rushes. A ring adorns the top of the legs which end with a shoe. This desk in very good condition has been refinished and revarnished. Note the height of 65 cm under the drawer, an unusual height for an old desk, this desk may be suitable for a tall person.
