Early 19th century France - Auvergne Old shepherd's cane (Monoxyle), pure work of popular art, the cane and the pommel are made from the same wooden barrel, the pommel is carved from the root. Very naive, almost moving work of sculpture, representing a skull and two crossed bones. The cane, due to its shape, is also a puzzle. Note: The wood is stitched at the pommel but fully treated, the cane is not fragile. Dimensions: Length: 97 cm
