Marc Saint Saëns, great nephew of the composer, is a tapestry painter and engraver. He entered the Beaux-Arts of Toulouse with André Arbus and Joseph Morin, exhibited at the SAF in 22 and 23. In 1925 he obtained the silver medal with André Arbus at the international exhibition of Decorative Arts. From 1930 to 1933 he was at Casa Velasquez, in 34 he worked on his large fresco of Occitan Parnassus. In 1940 he joined Jean Lurçat who, with Jean Picart-Le Doux and Gromaire, participated in the renaissance of French tapestry. From 1947 all his creations were woven by Atelier Tabard in Aubusson.
